Today my wife write one Ayah of Quran on paper for my mother and she was not clean, she forget about her period and also she didn’t made abulution before writing that. when she informed me, I asked her about her period and Wudu she said in hury she forget. So what can we have to do now. I know it’s a sin. Please reply as soon as possible I’m very tensed and worried whether it’s kufr or what.

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
A person in the state of Janabah(impurity) and a woman in her menses should not write part of the Quran of something containing an Aayah of the Quran.[1]
Tawbah and Istighfaar should be made. It does not constitute Kufr.
وَيُكْرَهُ لِلْجُنُبِ وَالْحَائِضِ أَنْ يَكْتُبَا الْكِتَابَ الذي في بَعْضِ سُطُورِهِ آيَةٌ من الْقُرْآنِ وَإِنْ كَانَا لَا يَقْرَآنِ الْقُرْآنَ وَالْجُنُبُ لَا يَكْتُبُ الْقُرْآنَ وَإِنْ كانت الصَّحِيفَةُ على الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يَضَعُ يَدَهُ عليها وَإِنْ كان ما دُونَ الْآيَةِ وقال مُحَمَّدٌ أَحَبُّ إلَيَّ أَنْ لَا يَكْتُبَ وَبِهِ أَخَذَ مَشَايِخُ بُخَارَى هَكَذَا في الذَّخِيرَةِ

ولا بأس لها بكتابة القرآن عند أبي يوسف رحمه الله إذا كانت الصحيفة على الأرض لأنها لا تحمل المصحف، والكتابة تقع حرفاً حرفاً وليس الحرف الواحد بقرآن، وقال محمد رحمه الله أحب إليّ أن لا تكتب لأنه في حكم المساس للحروف وهي بكليتها قرآن.
