Is it better to perform multiple Umrahs or more Tawaaf?

Question:

Asalamualaikum Hazrat.

I wanted to ask, is it sinful, or disliked in anyway for one to perform more than one Umrah when taking a journey to Makkah? There seems to be conflicting opinions.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

While it is permissible to perform multiple Umrahs in one trip, by going back to the Meeqaat every time, it is more virtuous to perform more Tawaafs than performing more Nafl Umrahs[1]. Hence it will be better for you to exert your energy and time in excessive Tawaaf.
