Question:
Assalamualaikum,my question was whats the opinion of the Ulama of Trinidad on Moulana Saad Sb?Its seems as if most of the Senior Ulama are against him.Moulana Ebrahim Devla sb,Moulana Ahmad Laat sb,and most of the senior ulama in India,and Darul Uloom Deoband has issued a fatwa against him.The Ulama of South Africa Moulana Ebrahim Salojje(principal of Darul Uloom Zakariyah)Mufti Ebrahim Desai sb,all seem to be against him.Yet in 2019 there was a big Ijtema in Trinidad where he came and the people were referring to him as “Hadhrat Ji”.He even gave talks in different madrasahs.I’m really confused about whats happening.It seems as if theres some confusion going on that more then half the people don’t know about it.Despite majority of the Senior Ulama being against him,some senior Ulama are still supporting him and calling him “Hadhrat Jee”

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
We reference to a recent Fatwa approved by our esteemed teacher Mufti Ebrahim Desai (Hafidhahullah),
We advise all those that are engaged in the noble work of Tabligh to continue doing the work without engaging in futile discussions with each other. The purpose of Dawat and Tabligh is to be a means of Hidayat and guidance for people. Those engaged in the noble work of Dawat and Tabligh should not focus their energies on personality worship. Fighting and accusations defeat the purpose of Tabligh, which is to attain the pleasure and closeness of Allah ﷻ and draw others to Allah ﷻ.
Fights and debates deprive one of the mercy of Allah.
Nabi ﷺ says:-
مَا ضَلَّ قَوْمٌ بَعْدَ هُدًى كَانُوا عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا أُوتُوا الْجَدَلَ [ابن ماجة 48]
Translation: No nation has gone astray after being guided except because they began engaging in arguments and debates. [Ibn Majah] [1]
We therefore advise one against delving into the Ikhtilaaf and differences of opinions, rather continue to engage and support this noble effort of Tabligh, as we have seen many of our senior Mashaaikh doing, regardless of affiliation and Markaz.
