{"id":979,"date":"2016-03-11T03:51:05","date_gmt":"2016-03-11T03:51:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fatwa-tt.com\/?p=979"},"modified":"2017-11-08T23:08:17","modified_gmt":"2017-11-09T03:08:17","slug":"979","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fatwa-tt.com\/index.php\/979\/","title":{"rendered":"Making second salaam before the Imaam."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Question:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If a person makes the second salaam before the Imaam, will the Salaah be complete or will the Salaah have to be repeated?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>As-sal\u0101mu \u2018alaykum wa-rahmatull\u0101hi wa-barak\u0101tuh.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If the Muqtadi (follower) said the second Salaam before the Imaam, the Salaah will be valid and there will be no need to repeat it. This will be the case also (but Makrooh Tahrimi) if the Muqtadi made the<em> first<\/em> Salaam before the Imaam, after completing Tashahhud<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">However, it must be noted that it is not permissible for the Muqtadi (follower) to precede the Imaam in any actions of Salaah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Holy Prophet\ufdfa said: \u201cThe Imam is appointed so that he should be followed, so bow down after he bows down, and rise up after he rises up\u201d(Muslim)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>And Allah Ta\u2019\u0101la Knows Best<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color:
