Ruling on working in Airline Company: Airline Company Airlines serves and sells Alcohol to customers.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Airline Company has many divisions subsidiaries (Aircraft Catering,\u00a0International Airport<\/a>, Airways Holidays, Duty Free, Aviation Services, Distribution Company, and\u00a0\u00a0Executive<\/a>\u00a0Lounge) and serves\/ sells Alcohol to passengers in Aircraft, Aircraft Catering,\u00a0International Airport<\/a>, Duty-free Outlet, Executive\u00a0lounge\u00a0and Airways\u00a0Holidays divisions. Airline Distribution Company distributes Sells Alcohol to customers, Hotels and restaurants.;<\/span><\/p>\n

Would like to seek guidance ruling on working in\u00a0Airline Company in light of Quran and Hadith;” Whether the person can work in Information Technology (IT) division of Airline Company ( The person will directly not involved but its job services will be benefited by all the above division and the salary will be also part of the Income from above sources).”<\/span><\/p>\n

At the outset, we commend you for your sensitivity on earning halal and abstaining from haram. It is this attitude that brings Barakah <\/em>(blessings) in one\u2019s earnings.<\/span><\/p>\n

You are working in the It department. Your job does not entail any direct dealings with the selling and serving of alcohol. It does not fall under the prohibition of the Hadith[1]<\/a> since this is not involvement in the actual impermissible transactions and dealings. Hence working in the IT division of Airline Company is permissible.<\/span><\/p>\n
