{"id":2674,"date":"2019-11-07T13:48:10","date_gmt":"2019-11-07T17:48:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fatwa-tt.com\/?p=2674"},"modified":"2019-11-07T13:48:14","modified_gmt":"2019-11-07T17:48:14","slug":"women-attending-the-burial-and-graveyard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fatwa-tt.com\/index.php\/women-attending-the-burial-and-graveyard\/","title":{"rendered":"Women attending the burial and graveyard."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Question:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is\nit permissible for women to attend the burial at the cemetery?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would\nit be allowed for them to visit the grave after the burial is completed?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>As-sal\u0101mu \u2018alaykum wa-rahmatull\u0101hi wa-barak\u0101tuh.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is permitted for women to visit the female family members of the\ndeceased to convey their condolences and sympathy provided the laws of Hijab\nare observed and there is no unnecessary intermingling of genders. The females\nmay attend the Janazah prayer if there is proper arrangement for the women,\nsuch as a secluded area behind the last line of the men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Women should not attend the burial at the cemetery due to the unavoidable\nFitna (intermingling with the opposite genders), especially if there is a large\ncrowd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;However after the burial has\nconcluded and the crowd has dispersed women may visit the grave.&nbsp; It is generally permitted for females to\nvisit a graveyard as long as the laws of Shariah (Hijaab, intermingling,\nwailing, etc.) are not violated<a href=\"#_ftn1\">[1]<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And Allah Ta\u2019\u0101la Knows
