{"id":2665,"date":"2019-09-19T21:56:45","date_gmt":"2019-09-20T01:56:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fatwa-tt.com\/?p=2665"},"modified":"2019-09-19T21:56:48","modified_gmt":"2019-09-20T01:56:48","slug":"tattoos-in-islaam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fatwa-tt.com\/index.php\/tattoos-in-islaam\/","title":{"rendered":"Tattoos in Islaam."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Question:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inquring about the\npermissibility of permanent tattoos in islam and any hadith associated with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>As-sal\u0101mu \u2018alaykum wa-rahmatull\u0101hi wa-barak\u0101tuh.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tattoos are strictly forbidden in Islaam.\nNabi&nbsp;<strong>\ufdfa<\/strong> has cursed the person who gets a\ntattoo and those who make the tattoo:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ibn `Umar (Radhiallahu Anhu) relates, \u201cThe\nProphet (<strong>\ufdfa<\/strong>) has cursed the one who tattoos (themself or someone else) and\nthe one who gets tattooed&#8221;\u201d (This prohibition is mentioned in many Ahadith,\nnarrated in Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Nasa\u2019i.]\n\n\n\n<p>This ruling applies to both males and females.\nOne must also abstain from temporary tattoos, due to its resemblance with\nHaraam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>And Allah Ta\u2019\u0101la Knows Best<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mufti Arshad Ali<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Darul Iftaa, Jaamia Madinatul Uloom (Trinidad)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fatwa-tt.com\"><strong>www.fatwa-tt.com<\/strong><\/a><strong> \/<\/strong><a href=\"www.jaamia.net\"><strong>www.jaamia.net<\/strong><\/a><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tattoos are strictly forbidden in Islaam.
