Where the iddah of a woman who\ninitiates and obtains divorce via khula is one menstrual cycle and there is\nanother view where it remains 3 months. See article I referenced from the net\nbelow.<br>\nWhat is the correct view of this.?<br>\n<br>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/islamqa.info\/en\/answers\/5163\/does-iddah-apply-in-the-case-of-khula\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/islamqa.info\/en\/answers\/5163\/does-iddah-apply-in-the-case-of-khula<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>As-sal\u0101mu \u2018alaykum wa-rahmatull\u0101hi wa-barak\u0101tuh.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the husband accepted the Khula\u2019<a href=\"#_ftn1\">[1]<\/a>,\nthen such a divorce will constitute one Talaq-bain and the Iddah will commence\nimmediately after the Khula\u2019 is concluded. The Iddah of Khula\u2019 is the same\nas the Iddah of divorce, which is 3 three menstrual cycles.
