My question is, if a woman adorns herself and goes out in public where a non mahram Male looks at her and finds her attractive, is she sinful? Also, Will their be a difference if her intention is to adorn herself for her husband even though she is going in public?<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>As-sal\u0101mu \u2018alaykum wa-rahmatull\u0101hi wa-barak\u0101tuh.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Allah Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101 says in Surah al-Ahz\u0101b, verse 53:<\/p>\n<p>\u064a\u064e\u0627 \u0623\u064e\u064a\u0651\u064f\u0647\u064e\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0651\u064f \u0642\u064f\u0644\u0652 \u0644\u0650\u0623\u064e\u0632\u0652\u0648\u064e\u0627\u062c\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0628\u064e\u0646\u064e\u0627\u062a\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0646\u0650\u0633\u064e\u0627\u0621\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064f\u0624\u0652\u0645\u0650\u0646\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e \u064a\u064f\u062f\u0652\u0646\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650\u0646\u0651\u064e \u0645\u0650\u0646\u0652 \u062c\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627\u0628\u0650\u064a\u0628\u0650\u0647\u0650\u0646\u0651\u064e<\/p>\n<p><em>O prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they should draw down their jilb\u0101b (shawls) over them.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Allah Ta\u2019ala mentions in this Ayaah the command of <em>Hijaab <\/em>and the obligation for women to conceal themselves when they have a need to leave their house. The <em>jilb\u0101b<\/em> here actually refers to a piece of clothing large enough that it covers the entire body from head to toe.<a name=\"_ftnref15\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thus, from this ayah and many other Ayaats and Ahadith it is Haraam for a female to expose her beauty to non Mahram males, regardless of her intention.<\/p>\n<p>Ras\u00fbllullah (Sallahu alaihi wasallam) said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA woman is an object of concealment. Thus, when she emerges (from her home) Shaitaan surreptitiously pursues her\u201d. (And he lies in wait to create mischief &amp; fitnah by leading her astray and others astray through her).
