{"id":2515,"date":"2018-08-13T20:04:03","date_gmt":"2018-08-14T00:04:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fatwa-tt.com\/?p=2515"},"modified":"2025-04-28T20:57:20","modified_gmt":"2025-04-29T00:57:20","slug":"what-is-the-ruling-on-the-turban-like-scarf-nowadays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fatwa-tt.com\/index.php\/what-is-the-ruling-on-the-turban-like-scarf-nowadays\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the ruling on the turban like scarf nowadays?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Question:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What is the ruling on turban like scarf which girls\/women have adopted now?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Answer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>As-sal\u0101mu \u2018alaykum wa-rahmatull\u0101hi wa-barak\u0101tuh.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The turban like scarf which women wear nowadays does not fulfil the compulsory requirements of covering the body, whether Hijaab in front of non Mahram males or even in Salaah.<\/p>\n<p>The condition for women\u2019s Salaah to be valid is that their hair and entire body should be covered. Hence, to perform the Salaah wearing such a scarf will invalidate one\u2019s Salaah.. The face, hands till the wrists and feet (i.e. from below the ankles) do not have to be covered during Salaah.<\/p>\n<p>As far as Hijaab in front on non Mahram males, it is compulsory for women to conceal their entire body, including the face.
