\nWhat is the ruling on silver jewellery for men: wedding ring\/band, chains, bracelet. .etc with the purpose of adornment?<\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As-sal\u0101mu \u2018alaykum wa-rahmatull\u0101hi wa-barak\u0101tuh.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is not permissible for a male to adorn himself with any type of jewellery, silver and gold, except a silver ring[1]<\/a>.<\/u> Titanium, platinum or any other metal will also be prohibited[2]<\/a>. The weight allowed for the silver ring (excluding stone) cannot exceed 4.35 grams. The head of the ring may be from any type of stone.<\/p>\n

Being a common misconception amongst males in our society, it must be noted carefully that the only jewellery permitted for men is a silver ring. Only rings made of silver are allowed for men, therefore bands, chains, bracelets etc. even if made from silver will be impermissible.<\/p>\n
