Slms mufti id like to know if its permissible having a quraan and yaseen recital a week before the wedding jazakaAllah<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As-sal\u0101mu \u2018alaykum wa-rahmatull\u0101hi wa-barak\u0101tuh.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

While we understand that the recitation of the Quran is indeed a means of barakah and blessings, we should point out that the prescription for barakah in a Nikah is in conducting a simple marriage with the least amount of expenses.
\n<\/strong>Walima is a Sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam. By doing it according to the Sunnah, you would gain the Barakah and blessings of the Sunnah. The Walimas of Rasulullah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam were simple and small, even while on journey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anas (Radhiyallahu Anhu) states, \u201cNabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) camped at a place between Khaybar and Madinah for three days. It was here that he consummated his marriage to Safiyyah (Radhiyallahu Anha), after which I invited the Muslims present to a Walima meal that featured neither bread nor meat. Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) instructed for a leather tablecloth to be spread. He then scattered dates cheese and butter unto it. This was the Walima of Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).)AlBukhari 5085(<\/span><\/p>\n

It has been narrated by Ai\u2019shah (Radhiyallahu Anha) that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, \u201cThe most blessed wedding is that which has the least expenses (simple)\u201d. )Ahmad 24529)<\/span><\/p>\n
