Is ghusl wajib after taking any suppository ?

fatwa-tt January 16, 2015

Question:

Is ghusl wajib after taking any suppository drug per anus?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Taking a suppository does not necessitate ghusl, regardless of place inserted.[1]

However, if an applicator or finger is also inserted when inserting the suppository, Wudhu should be remade. [2]
